Hans Braun is an Independent Wheat Consultant. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Hohenheim, Germany, while conducting research at CIMMYT's experimental station in Obrégon, México. Hans spent his entire career at CIMMYT, first in Turkey as the leader of the Turkey/CIMMYT/ICARDA International Winter Wheat Improvement Program (IWWIP) and later in México as the Director of the Global Wheat Program and the CGIAR Research Program on Wheat. As a Board Member and Advocate of the Borlaug Training Foundation Hans has shown exceptional dedication to fostering the growth and development of young agricultural scientists through his training and mentoring efforts.
