Dr. Antonio Costa de Oliveira

Antonio Costa de Oliveira is a Professor at the Federal University of Pelotas in Brazil. He holds a B.Sc. in Agronomy from the Federal University of Pelotas (Brazil), an M.SC. in Genetic Agronomy and Plant Breeding from the University of São Paulo (Brazil), and a Ph.D. in Genetics from Purdue University (USA). Antonio has been internationally recognized for leading cutting-edge research programs in crop breeding and genetics, focusing on genomics-assisted breeding, quantitative traits, mutation breeding, and abiotic stress responses in cereal crops. He is especially committed to developing effective practical teaching, training, and mentorship programs.
