Evans Lagudah is a Chief Research Scientist with the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) and Adjunct Professor at the University of Sydney in Australia. He holds a B.Sc. degree from the University of Ghana and a Ph.D. from the University of Melbourne in Australia. Evans has led an extremely innovative and productive research team focusing on host-plant resistance, typically at the interface between agriculture and fundamental molecular research. He has trained many Ph.D. students, postdoctoral researchers, and early- and mid-career scientists and has been globally recognized for his contributions to providing effective mentorship.
