Fernanda Gamba is a Professor of Plant Pathology in the Plant Protection Department, Faculty of Agronomy, at the Universidad de la República Oriental del Uruguay. She holds an Agricultural Engineer degree from the Universidad de la República Oriental del Uruguay, an M.Sc. from the Plant Science Department at the University of Manitoba, and a Ph.D. from the Department of Ecological Plant Protection at the University of Kassel in Germany. Fernanda has conducted innovative research and has consulted widely on cereal diseases, plant pathogen diversity, and host plant resistance. Fernanda has been very active in training and mentoring and is passionate about helping to develop the next generation of scientists.
