Jesse Dubin is former Principal Scientist in Wheat Pathology and Associate Director of the Global Wheat Program at CIMMYT in México. He holds a B.Sc. from SUNY College of Forestry, an M.Sc. in Forest Pathology from Colorado State University, and a Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from the University of California-Davis. Profoundly affected by his U.S. Peace Corps service in Chile, he devoted his career to improving food production and training young scientists in México, the Andean Region of South America, and South Asia. As one of the original founders of the Borlaug Training Foundation, Jesse has demonstrated a strong commitment to training and mentoring through many years of engagement with the Basic Wheat Improvement Course (BWIC) at CIMMYT post-retirement.
