Advocate and Former Board Secretary
Scott Haley is a Professor Emeritus and Former Project Leader of the Wheat Breeding and Genetics Program at Colorado State University. He holds a B.Sc. from Washington State University and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in plant breeding and genetics from Colorado State University. Scott served as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Burkina Faso (West Africa) and subsequently channeled his energies into a career in plant breeding, leading successful wheat breeding programs at both South Dakota State and Colorado State Universities. As a past Board member and Secretary of the Borlaug Training Foundation, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to continued engagement with both training and mentoring activities.
